Brian Killian is a Certified Addictions Professional and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the State of Florida and has nineteen years of experience working in the field. Brian's experience includes working in both short term and long term residential treatment programs. Brian also has provided service to clients that participated in day treatment and outpatient treatment programs providing both substance abuse and mental health treatment services.
Substance Abuse:
Brian provides drug and alcohol, abuse and addiction treatment services to adolescents, men and women utilizing cognitive behavioral interventions and counseling techniques to help clients work towards and maintain long term abstinence. Treatment goals are discussed with a mutual agreement between Brian and the client as to what areas need to be modified that will aid in long term abstinence from drug and/or alcohol use.
Suboxone Counseling Treatment:
As part of his substance abuse practice, Brian also provides a Suboxone counseling program that services patients who are suffering from pain killer/opiate addiction resulting from a serious physical injury or presently in a pain management regimen. As part of this program if a client is not presently taking Suboxone to reduce cravings for pain killers/opiates to become free of these addictive medications, Brian can make a referral to local physicians licensed to dispense Suboxone.
Mental Health Counseling:
Brian is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with the State of Florida. Brian also has years of experience working with clients who suffer from anxiety, tension, depression, hyperactivity, attention deficit, grief, and anger management. Brian utilizes both cognitive and behavioral interventions and counseling techniques to help clients reduce the symptoms they are suffering from. This includes the enhancement or development of coping skills that will assist and help the client to better manage their lives.
